Whit

This little gal makes my day! She has been a little sick the last few days and soooooooo sweet! It makes being a mom heavenly that she wants to snuggle and love on me and be sweet! I am amazed at how big and grown up she is getting telling me "I sinking" or thinking. She loves to be just like Mya and always has some kind of baggage with her at all times. Adam was actually home with her yesterday and she asked for a bottle and he gave her one with water in it. She has tried to get me to give her one all day but I have denied her of that. I am thankful for her sweet raspy voice and her asking " peas" for anything and calling me "Abby" frequently. She is one of a kind and I am sure in love with that sweet face of hers!

Changes

Well we have gone through some changes in the last few months and with the change of roles it has taught me a lot. I LOVE being a mom and being home with my kids. I appreciate my husband for going to work everyday and all the other mom's out there who do this. I was an emotional breakdown on it's brink of erupting. Today we switched roles again. Adam started a new job and I was back to my mom duties. I truly love to see my kids in the morning and get them off to school and play with my 2 year old. I love to have a clean home and go to the gym and make dinner. Granted we are only on day one back to reality, but overall I would rather do this than be a full time working mom. This experience has put things into perspective and allowed me to have a greater appreciation for my husband and we have become closer through this. I was so nervous for him today and kinda sick wondering if he will like it, make friends, who he would have lunch with. I guess I am the worrier always. He had a great day and until something better comes along this is what we will continue to pursue. Take a day at a time and cherish what you have because life isn't always going to be that way turns will come in the road and our faith has been tested. I am grateful for the kids carpool and talking with them about their day. I was excited to help with homework and bath time. I am writing most of this to be a reminder that when things get hard and I am feeling under appreciated I can remember that these little tasks are special and that my kids will only need me for a short while longer. Life is short enjoy each new day because it really is a gift. I am going to bed now so I will be refreshed to face another great day of life, as a mom. Wish me luck~

Christmas Morning

So I am catching up and thought I would want to remember this day! We woke up in the morning to Santa bringing rock band for Jaxson and Daddy:) and a kitchen for the girls.
Opening presents and Whit was a little sleepy still.
Mya interested in Jaxsons potato clock! I think he wants to be a scientist!
New clothes a courtesy smile I think!
She cheered up fast and was really into it! She even had to take off her first shirt because she was getting hot unwrapping all of those gifts!
I made them each a quiet book for church and they love them on Sundays.
Playin some music and eating some cereal too.
Brother gave Mya some make up from the school shop and she loved it.
Whit can't get enough of the kitchen and is saying can I make u sumfin!

All three kids Christmas eve with their new PJ's Whitney wants to wear her "rain der" every night! We had a great day and are so blessed!

Mexico

Well for Christmas this year we tried to be a bit more frugal and go on a family trip instead! Kyle and Danielle got a hook up in Rocky Pointe and so a plan was made. We had such a great time! Hopefully more pics to come but our camera was dropped into the depths of the ocean while all the boys and Brekin were deep sea fishing.
Day one drive a short 3.5 hours and down a long dirty road to PARADISE!!!!!
We got there and had some sweet little men take everything up to our room and I mean everything. The place had no elevators so I and sure Adam was grateful for the service. We packed stuff and food for an army! We were also greeted by our great Texas family and what a sweet reunion it was all the kids were already planning and soooooo excited. We unpacked a bit and looked around and had a "Scrump" meal by Danielle. Homemade salsa and tortillas were one of the best things about this place.
Day 2 a trip to town was an order for some street tacos that were wonderful. The kids had a great time walking up and down the market. Mya and a few of the other girls got their hair braided and everyone enjoyed a ice cream. On the walk back to the car Mya wouldn't let me pass by the swim cover up Red with sparkles so she was so happy! We came back home for an evening swim in the best heated pool and a "Miami Vice" to drink at the side of the pool. What a treat of pina colada and daiquiri. DIVINE! Then it was baths and dinner and bed for the kids a sleepover was a must for the cousins. Actually rather different sleeping arrangements with Molly and I sleeping in one room and the dads sleeping in another room with the babies in the bathrooms! Don't tell it worked for the night and the mom's actually got to sleep in and the dads woke at 7am. Speaking of sleep we had some late nights, but some great sleeping in too and I love to sleep in and having black out shades worked great! The kids had no idea it was daytime or nap time!
Day 3 such a blustery day so windy and cold! It looked like a hurricane was coming! We stayed inside most of the day but the place had lots of games and movies and KARAOKE! Adam and Ashton got a standing ovation for a song "Big Butts" It was one of the funniest things I have ever seen and the whole resort of people loved them and asked if they would do another song!
Day 4 Lots of swimming and walking on the beach to find so amazing shells and sand crabs. We also had face painting and more movies and exploring! The kids rode bikes up and down the hallway of the place and played the DS's and enjoyed the time they had to spend together!

Saying goodbye to the Texas cousins which was a hard thing to do I was crying first thing in the morning and didn't really stop till later that day. It is so great that we all get along and the kids pick right up where they left off. They are so tender with each other and love unconditionally. I am even tearful talking about it! I sure love them and miss them lots. We are going to get our skype up so we can talk more. After a somber goodbye we needed some more of those tacos. To our surprise Kyle and his family were there too! No more goodbyes just a wave. We enjoyed the lunch and then headed to the Aquarium. It was a little place but there was a lot in store for these kids and us. A whole bunch of tanks of different fish, sea turtles to feed and pet, and nothing better that ARTURO the sea lion! He was really incredible and we were able to feed him through the hole in the fence the kids were mesmerized and Lucas cried the whole time until it was time to leave he said goodbye. At one point my dad was turned to look at he turtles and the Art peeked his head through the hole and nudged my dad's shoulder. He was a little freaked out and it gave us a great laugh.
Day5 we headed home and ended a fantastic vacay much needed after all this work lately. Relaxation, great food, and good company is the key to a wonderful time! Till next time the memories will last forever!

Kobel Christmas!

So the Thursday before Christmas we had dinner and presents at the Kobels. Whitney couldn't get away from the treats once again!
Jaxson did his own shopping at the school store and did a great job. He got grandpa a picture frame and grandma Old Maid cards!!!!:) Kinda funny!
Mya got a dress up trunk that she loves a lot she even shared a little with sister and has of course added many trinkets to the trunk of her own!
Whitney got a little cute doll house. She calls the baby "Lisa" I don't know if she even knows any Lisa's but that is the name. Her and Mya have been playing so well with this too!
Jaxson got a new video game that is super fun and he is actually playing as I write. He loves to come home and do his homework and chill for 30 minutes or so.

Here is the only pic I have kinda blurry but the kids love their grandparents and are super grateful to have them so close. Thanks again grandpa and grandma!

Some catch up!

Well the last day before break Mya had a gingerbread house making/party at her school. Dad and Mom and Whitney all got to come and it was really fun!
Mya was super sweet taking Whitney to sit on the carpet and watch Rudolph. She loved being a big helper sister and sharing her candy for the houses. Whitney couldn't get the morsels in fast enough and loved the activity more than anyone there I think!
