Happy Happy Adam

This is what Mya has been saying for days. She was so excited for the celebration of a big 30!!!! I think Adam was happy too! We had a family dinner on Sunday with lots of kids and fun. Thank you to everyone who came all the way to our side of town. Then Monday we had a little swim night at Grandpa's and enjoyed the company. Adam got a few gifts that night, a favorite was a new Michigan shirt. Then Tuesday the actual day, he got on some new clothes and shoes for work and went to work. His great team took him out for lunch, got him a gift card for Bass Pro, and had cupcakes back at the office. He was elated. He came home and we went out for Buffalo Wild Wings his favorite!!! He stayed up late and watched the Olympics and went for a late night fishing trip with his brother.
He had a great birthday and we are so grateful to have him in our lives. He is a great husband and father, and we love him a lot! Happy Birthday!

Gratitude

Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow.” –Melody Beattie

Cry cry cry, that is all I do these days (hormonal), but I am so grateful for these moments. Everyone can use a good cry. I got this quote off of Natalie's blog and had a great reminder of my blessed life. I have the greatness of the gospel, and my continuing knowledge of it. I have an eternal family and the means to do work for my grandparents when the time comes. I have a fabulous husband who works hard and has a positive attitude when I don't. I have loving, adorable children who teach me everyday and even say I look pretty when I know I am due in 3 weeks and am not the most attractive. I am privileged to be pregnant and carry a new sweet spirit and be so in tune with the miracle of new life. I have a beautiful home that has the feeling of "home" and I love to be here. I have great friends who care about me and make me feel loved. I am so grateful to live and learn new things. I can so easily take life for granted and not live for today, but I am honored for today.
I am blessed indeed and am thankful for the reminder and hope I can continue the gratitude everyday.

The first day!!!

Yes my baby started Kindergarten last week and I was a bit emotional. Thank goodness Adam was there to comfort me. We had his father's blessing the night before , and I cried. We went to Sunday dinner and I cried. We said goodbye to everyone and I cried. I said my prayers that night a cried. The crying has ceased a bit but I still am a little unstable to say the least.
He had a great first week and lots to tell me everyday. His teacher is awesome and he says,"loves my name and my hair". I am a little biased but I think he was the most handsome boy there. His sister missed him a lot and when he came home she never left his side. This was a bit of an annoyance to him so I had to remind him that she missed him so much.
Another week and more routine, that I do like, but I do not like the pick up during nap time and the long pick up line. I know I will be doing this for many a year so I better get used to it. Well I better get some stuff done, because today is early pick up and I still haven't showered!!! Have a great week!
PS pics to come I haven't uploaded them

Girls are rough Too!!!

So last week I was at work and Adam called to say Mya fell off the couch and cut her ear and a piece was missing. I was in shock a bit because all I could think about was her little deformed ear and her being a girl would be bad. I told him to find the piece and meet me at the ER by our house. I left work and got there to find the happy little girl and the need for 5 stitches. She is definitely going to be a fighter and the tough girl. She fought the whole time she was wrapped up in the blanket to get the stitches and I was just wanting it to be done. We told her we could go get a new baby(doll) and that calmed her for about 2 seconds. The doctor did a great job and you can't even tell what ear it was.
I was so proud of Adam and the calm was he handled it and wanted to take care of her at the hospital. I did feel bad for Jaxson because he was so worried and he was part of the cause of this. He was tickling her on the couch and she fell off hitting the coffee table on the way down. He however thought he should get a new toy too. That quickly changed when we asked if he wanted a bunch of shots in his ear. He denied!!!
Hopefully not too many more adventures like this with her, or she will be taking after her mom and my many trips to the ER and a child. (thanks to my older brother also)

The battle with the bowl!!!

So it all happened a few weeks ago with Jaxson and Peyton and McKay playing ball in the house. We don't play ball in the house for many reasons, but I was tired of arguing and they were having the best time. Well soon enough Jaxson came running to me and cried out,"The ball went in the toilet and I flushed it." I was in shock of why he would flush it, and quickly went to the rescue. I got the plunger and reached my hand down in there, but to no avail. It was stuck and we had to go, so I shut off the water to the toilet and prayed it didn't cause any problems while we were away. When we got home my plumber husband went and got a snake to get it out. No good, only lots of naughty thoughts and a few words said. Aaron then come over and suggested to take the toilet off. Still no ball vi sable and unable to snake through the toilet. Using the shop vac they tried to suck it out, with a flashlight they could see it. I quickly got a skewer and theystabbed at the ball and a loud pop is what we heard. The ball was full of air, and would have never fit through the bottom hole. It was quite the experience and the culprit Jaxson was already asleep to see the victory of his dad and uncle and the battle with the bowl!!!
