I loved being a mom today!

Well it is spring break and it has been a week of kid activities! With this some fighting and contention in inevitable but I sure do love the times where they get along. Monday we had a sleepover with our cousins here(miss those in SA) and the kids stayed up outside till 1030 at night. They were exploring and playing in their fort made of all the outside toys. They were so happy and as Mys kept coming in for snacks to take out there she said this is so fun! The little things is what matters to them we didn't have to go on an expensive vacation:) We went to the movies the next day with Bobba and saw Rango. It was ok but a little scary for some Mya fell asleep which was great to miss the scary parts. We came home to baseball practice and riding scooters at the park.
Today we woke up and Jaxson was helping the girls get cereal. Mya was dancing and listening to music as always and Whitney came in to snuggle me! We got a few chores done without much complaint and off we went to Chuckee Cheese! We have only been there 2 times so it is kind of a treat. They were so excited and we met up with Bobba and Molly and Brielle and kids! We sat and watched the littles play independently and grown up as they kept coming back asking for "one mor peese". Molly went up with the 3 two year olds in the climb thing and the smiles on their faces were priceless! I am grateful to be their mom and be active and able to do my duty.

I am so blessed to be a teacher and a mother I hope everyday that I am doing my part.

11 years

So yesterday was our anniversary and 11 years to be exact! We got the privilege to be kid free for 24 hours and we made the most of it (wink wink)~ We went to the movies and actually movie hopped like teenagers all the while I was like they are watching us! When really they were mesmerized by the large group of hearing impaired who were discussing with their hands the movie we had just seen in subtitles! We saw Unknown and Just go With it-highly recommended!!!! We tried to see Justin Bieber too but it was only in 3d so I had to pass unless I wanted a huge headache!
We got to sleep in the next day and no one waking us up for breakfast or to get dressed! About 1030 we got up and went for a couples massage that was amazing! Off to the mall for some shopping and a late lunch at Olive Garden and we went to get the munchkins! Thanks to my mom and Molly for also making their day great with a movie and playing in the water at West Gate!
We have had many events happen over 11 years and we started taking about the future 11 years and that we will have teenagers and hopefully one going on a mission! What our life has in store who knows but I am grateful for the partner I have to take on this journey! I am not perfect but he loves me just the same! Thanks for the fabulous day Ad!

Sickness

Well we have been quite home bound for the past 2 weeks now. First with Mya's tonsils and then Whitney got sick last Thursday. I had to work all weekend so dad weathered the storm and was ready for a break by Monday just to find out Mama was sick and I don't get sick. I was down and out and layed around for 3 days going from bed to couch to shower and back to bed. All the while popping a few pills along the way for short term relief. Monday night was Jaxson's turn and he is finally fever free but his Asthma is really bad. So much for cold, nice and now rainy weather that sure doesn't help little weak lungs. So we have had soup lots of nights and Gatorade for our staples. Adam has been really great and does notice when I am not feeling well how much there is to do. I guess this flu like sickness takes awhile to go away and I am so grateful for my normal good health. I don't like the bad taste in my mouth the cold sweats and feeling so scrubbed out all the time. Here is to a new week of good health hopefully Adam hasn't been around up too much! Catch up pics and post to come soon! I have felt a little poor me lately and found this quote my dear sister told me about. Sometimes we all feel inadequate, but we truly are amazing strong and beautiful women. Why do we think any different sometimes? I don't have any special tricks, just take each day at a time and remember you can't assume things about anyone, we are usually struggling with similar things just too proud to say anything! So for tomorrow I will not compare and will think happy thoughts! I have a great family and friends and should love every second of this life!

Tonsils

So yesterday Mya went to the hospital to get her tonsils out. She has always had a horrible runny nose and snores like a train at night. She was so sweet! I didn't really tell her anything until Sunday night because I didn't want her to worry, but Bobba brought her a pillow pet and we told her and dad and Papa gave her a blessing and she was smiling ear to ear. She loves her special time and I forget that sometimes. She didn't really get why, but getting new PJ's and presents was right up her ally for anything. She went to sleep late and we woke up about 7. She put on her comfy jacket and we were off in the new PJ's:) We got there and she played with some toys for a little while and they took us back to her room. She had a really sweet nurse and the doctor came in. She was so shy the whole time and didn't ask any questions. When it was time to put on her gown the nurse said she couldn't wear her panties either and she was a bit disturbed. Why she asked? She was done for, she couldn't stop asking for her clothes back on and distraction was only working a little. Well then the nurse put slippers on the "purple Popsicle"( the pillow pet name) and a hat. She then gave u some kisses and they wheeled her through the doors. She was so brave and didn't shed a tear. We waited about an hour and the doctor came out and said everything went well. Another 4o min and they let us back to see her. No funny comments were said and she just slept and slept. She was a little itchy and wanted her IV out but overall a great patient. She had a day of rest all day sleeping on and off and slept great all night. She is pretty great today and only saying it hurts a little. We rented movies and have lots of Popsicles for the day. She is so sweet and loves just to hold hands and have me sit with her. Whitney is a little jealous and keeps saying"I sic tu" She wants medicine and so I fill te syringe up with water and she thinks she gets some too. It is going to be a great relaxing day pics to come later.

My

Well it has been such a cold day around here lately! I think today was a high of 45!!!!!! Yikes I am such a wimp with a coldee day and my kids love it. Actually Mya wanted to put on a swim suit that was a hand me down from my niece. She was dancing around the house with it on while I am bundled on the couch with 2 blankets and a sweatshirt on. She is so funny and actually later took a shower with it in too~ She is loving school these days and always wears her cowgirl boots everywhere she goes. I have learned to pick my battles and her fashion statements are one thing not to mess with every morning. We love you laines!
