So the other day I was chatting on the phone and doing dishes when I saw something from the corner of my eye and looked over by the oven and sure enough this "Nemo" jumped ship@! I was freaked out a bit trying to pick it up and not touch it too much! Yes I am a nurse but still am squeamish of slimy amphibians who poop when you touch them!!! Yikes probably TMI but I finally got it back in the bowl as my mom coached me on the phone!
What a suicide attempt I thought! So on with our week and busy we were until we came home late one night. M and I walked into the kitchen and saw a black looking leaf/bug on the dark floor. I very cautiously crouched down and picked up the leaf and to my horror, NEMO!!!!!! He was long gone and dried to a crisp! I quickly threw it away I could no longer touch it! M was devastated, and stated "it diiiidd". I replied yes, and was worried about telling J because he was already asleep. Well the next day we woke up and some kids came over to play and soon they came to the kitchen as I was getting cereal for all 6 of them!!!! J climbed up on the counter as the bowl was still there and said wanna see my fish???? I quickly told him what had transpired and he was in shock! Well where is it mom??? I told him the trash and he said it needed to be buried! I talked him out of that and he said he wanted a better pet next time! Well I guess RIP nemo!!! We probably won't be getting another fish anytime soon.
