Women be Shopping!!!

Well yes I got my fill of shopping today however I broke the tradition and didn't go at 4am. Yes that made me a bit happier and more focused as I walked the isle's of Walmart and Kohl's. I got the things I needed and a little more for myself!!! I am impressed that I took along all 3 children and no meltdowns were had! I even got a few things for them that they had no idea of. I love this time of year and the gift of giving and teaching my children the true meaning. They both were so excited to pick out things for their cousins and our adopt an angels. They also thought it was cool to put money into the red bucket with the bell ringer. I love opportunities like that to teach them and let them appreciate what they have when others have so little. I am so grateful and hope the month doesn't fly by, so the music, lights, friendship, family and love can be enjoyed!

A little boy!!!

Yes that is correct, my sister and her husband have a sweet little boy on the way into their home at the beginning of the year. After many prayers and a lot of faith a sweet loving mother has chosen the best family anyone could ask for. What a great blessing and gift he will be. I can't imagine the pain and feelings of loss that both my sister and this birth mom have in common. As I have been pregnant and her unable to, I've felt so saddened. She has loved all of my children as her own, and she has a lot more love to give. My sister is one of the best people and mom's I know and this new spirit is going to loved and adored by so many. She is one of a kind and has been waiting for so long for this sweet little guy. I know he will be raised right and have the greatest parents and big sister any kid could ask for!! Love ya guys!

I got this off Mandy's blog and I wanted to remember it and it is a great quote from President Monson.

Thankful

As Thanksgiving approaches I am sure most reflect on all they are thankful for. I do also and it has always been a tradition prior to eating that we go around the room and everyone says one thing they are thankful for. This year will be a bit different due to the loss of my Grandpa and he won't be present to hear all of his legacy and the great things he taught his family. I am truly grateful for him and his great example. I am also grateful for my own parents and the great morals and values they instilled in us. We are blessed to have them close and so involved in their lives. I am also grateful for my in-laws and the great values and strengths they taught their sons! I have a awesome husband who is a hard worker, loves his kids and me, and has a great sense of humor! I am honored to have 3 beautiful children who light up my life everyday(almost)!! They teach me, love me and remind me why we are here. I am thankful for the freedom's that we have and to live at this time and in this country. I am grateful to have so many luxuries in life and am glad I don't wash my clothes on rocks. I am thankful for the rain this day and the sweet smell we can all enjoy and the freshness it brings. I love this time of year and the reminder it is that life is as great as you can make it. I try each day to be positive and make the best of each moment. However this is a difficult feat we cannot be perfect and I am continually trying to be like my amazing father and grandfather who are always "Great or Fantastic" when to speak to them. I will try, but today I am thankful, so very thankful!!!!

A busy Family day

So today was a go go go day. We woke up and put skates on!! Adam was hunting and so I got everyone ready and picked up the house, we got all packed up for the t-ball game and into the car. Adam rushed home, showered and we were off like a prom dress!!!! (Not really) ha ha
Well we stopped and got the kids a sprinkle doughnut which is their favorite and went to the field, Jaxson was ready and said he was going to have some big hits. Well he did! He played great and ran faster than usual and had a lot of fun. Mya had fun too, as she crawled all over the bleachers and ate fruit snacks and tried to mooch some more snacks from the snack mom. She did not succeed. After the game it was off to a birthday party in Gilbert. On the way we went to Real Deals a great store by the way and exchanged a few things. After a long drive and Adam getting a nap due to his early rising I drove we were there. The kids had a blast at the Ferris wheel, carousel, and sea doo rides. We ate pizza, cake and went on a train ride. It was a fun time and wore the kids out. Mya napped on the way back and so did Whitney. We got home and had some people over for the BYU game and they lost but we still had a fun time and enjoyed the company. It was a busy but fun filled day as a family and I love family time and seeing my kids smile and enjoy life for today!

More Shots!!

Yes today was Jaxson and Mya's turn. They both had their well checks and flu shots. We all went as a family because I didn't want to set myself up failure with all 3 of them crying and being crazy and only me to help them. So, we all went and it was the best visit ever! No crying and happy kids with lollipops walking out the door 35 minutes later.
Jaxson was 42 pounds and Mya was 28 I am not really sure on the height because I didn't get a printout. Oh well maybe next year. I can't believe I have a 6 and 3 year old.
After the doctor we picked up some dinner and went to the best store ever (Target) to get a birthday gift. I didn't join Adam which is a good thing because then I wouldn't justify the need for many more items. I stayed in the car to feed the hungry baby and enjoyed the silence. We came home to a night of baths, stories and bed!!! We had a FHE this week about service and it really stuck with Jaxson and he has been asking to do a lot more than normal and I get so proud of him and his willingness to serve his family. Good job Bubba!
