WHITNEY IS 4!!!!!
Wearing her dad's clothes
Guess who turned 4 today! This crazy girl! She is the funniest, spunkiest, cutest, sweetest girl around. We are so lucky she is in our family and we get to spoil her so much. Today she woke up to all of her presents and we went for doughnuts at DD. Then we took the kids to school and she went to pick out her treats for her party. She picked lofthouse cookies and also a juicy pop. Who doesn't love candy at 830 am!!!! Well anything goes on the birthday right:) We went home to get ready and go to her PPP party with cousins, friends from church, friends from school and Bobba! What a treat to have so many people who love her the most share this special day. She got a lot of great gifts and more candy!!!!!! She is now playing with big sister with her loot and the house is rather quiet.
She is such a character and actually told us this morning that we didn't get her very many presents! She was quickly coached that some kids get nothing and she should be grateful for anything she gets and to say thank you or the present fairy will take presents away too!
She continues to love music and dancing and just finished up gymnastics.
She loves babies and her newest cousin Hazel is one of her favorites!
She is growing up just like her sister and loves bags and stuff to fill the bag!
She loves sweets and will sneek, peek, and find them at all cost
She is a snuggle bug and knows how to stay up later than the other kids if she says she is afraid :) we always give in!!!
She loves pirate booty snacks and will eat 2-3 bags at a time and I continue to find the wrappings under the chairs or table hiding the evidence:)
She is a joy to be around sass and all and we wouldn't change her for anything!!!!!
Love you Buk Buk!!!!!!

Our first child with a broken bone!!! Mya was so brave last night as we sat in the urgent care for 4 hours waiting for and x-ray and to be seen. She was so patient and quiet I think mostly out of fear:( She was playing dodge ball with her dad and brother as they have in our empty room for the past week. Each time I am the nag of don't be too rough and this time they got the hint! She couldn't move it and of course I was working and left early to go assess the damage.
We have a broken clavicle and she will be in a sling for 4-6 weeks. She is so sweet unable to dress herself, eat some things, and wash her hair. The things you take for granted are so easily taken from you in no time. We have a baby again and will be dressing and bathing her until maybe she can learn some things with her left hand. Her dad and brother were so concerned and sorry for the accident. Things happen and I am so grateful it was only minor. Love my sweet Mya! Got to spend most of the day on the couch and hang out love a day of rest!

Back to school back to school!
Lots of change and excitement and quiet time in my home today. Yesterday was a great day. The kids woke up so happy and energized we had breakfast and headed to school for pictures/video and quick goodbyes and this mama did great! Today we had a repeat but today we dropped the other kids and then it was our sweet Whitney's turn to go to preschool with one of our great friends as her teacher. I knew she would be fine and she went right in and started playing with the activity and never looked back. Change Change I do not do well with it at all. Adam and I have been cleaning and watching the Olympics together, but I miss the "Mom, mom" more than I thought! These sweet children grow up and will leave soon and my heart hurts for that. I am so blessed to be there mom and teach them right and wrong. I am so lucky to hear about their day and tuck them in at night and hear about their day even more. I love being a mom and the happiness it brings to my soul. Some days are truly rough but it is times of reflection that allow you to remember those amazing moments that you are doing a great job! Back to blogging wish me luck, got some time on my hands again!

Motherhood
Motherhood is movement.
It's up and down movement as we
pick up babies and socks and crayons and cheerios,
take laundry upstairs and down,
sit down and jump up ten times during dinner,
get up five times at night to solve nightmares and hunger and sickness
It's sideways movement as we go
from helping with homework to stirring the dinner,
from tucking one child in bed to tucking in the next,
from reading a story on the couch to doing crafts at the table,
from school to soccer to scouts to dance
It's circular, repetitive movement as we
do the same dishes and clean up the same messes
make the same favorite foods and read the same books
answer the same questions and mediate the same spats
Sometimes we wonder
Are we getting anywhere with all this movement?
Is there any forward movement involved
in the side-to-side, the up-and-down, the circular?
The up-and-down, back-and-forth, repetitive motion of water
wears off sharp edges
creates paths
exposes
soothes
gives life
The up-and-down, back-and-forth, repetitive motion of motherhood
refines us
as it wears off our rough spots
creates us
as it exposes our strengths and weaknesses
soothes us
as we learn that our best is good enough
gives us life
as we give life to others
and propels us ever forward
in a twisty, zig-zag path
towards the people we're really meant to be
I am so blessed to be a mom and had a great mothers day with my mom and mother in law and sweet kids!

thinking about things
"If we have faith in Jesus Christ, the hardest as well as the easiest times in life can be a blessing. In all conditions, we can choose the right with the guidance of the Spirit. We have the gospel of Jesus Christ to shape and guide our lives if we choose it. And with prophets revealing to us our place in the plan of salvation, we can live with perfect hope and a feeling of peace. We never need to feel that we are alone or unloved in the Lord’s service, because we never are. We can feel the love of God. The Savior has promised angels on our left and our right, to bear us up. And He always keeps His word."—President Henry B. Eyring, "Mountains to Climb", General Conference, Apr. 2012

LIfe
So this blog has been hanging out with out me paying much attention to it lately along with a bunch of other things. I have been working a lot and with that trying to make life happen. I also have been emotional with movies, lessons at church, and some of my patients at work.
I have had some sweet patients and very sad situations lately and it has made me think about things even more. I do love my job and witnessing little miracles frequently as one patient survived a drowning, and another hopped out of bed after having her appendix rupture with a big smile to brighten anyone's day. I only see these things and thank God that I can be touched by their sweet lives. These examples along with my own children, seeing Whitney get so excited today filling eggs with candy to deliver some Easter bags. She was so excited picking who we should take them to , and running up to the door all by herself. I am so blessed!
I was so touched this past Sunday by our lesson on life and the trials one faces and how through life we must show charity and witness and endure. How tough this life is sometimes and how grateful I am to have the scriptures and prophets to guide us. I was so moved by a story of a man who had suffered many years from cancer and was waiting to receive a blessing and as the man came to give it found the fragile man laying on top of his neatly made bed all dressing in his best shirt and tie. He stated he was ready to continue the work on the other side after the blessing. I though about this and if I am ready for that and if I am doing my part to be the best I can be.
I have been running low on energy and sleep, and have been short with my kids and husband at times. These are the times when I need to do more. They need to see love and patience and be uplifted so they can do so to others.
